Other enrolment details for our school
As part of the online enrolment process at Metella Road Public School, families are required to provide documentation that meets the 100-point residential address verification criteria.
For schools experiencing high demand where the number of non-local enrolment applications exceeds the available places outside the local enrolment buffer, principals use this 100-point residential address check to confirm a student’s eligibility to enrol at the school. Please note, this check is not required for non-local enrolment applications.

Enrolment for Temporary Residents
Temporary residents (other than visitors or other short stay visas) are entitled to enrol in their in-area school based on their residential address.
Per the Enrolment of temporary residents procedures, temporary residents must:
- Apply to the Temporary Residents Program to enrol in a NSW Government school
- Obtain an Authority to Enrol (ATE) which is a document issued by DE International External link for the school they intend to enrol in. An ATE confirms a student’s eligibility to enrol and is required for enrolment in the Temporary Residents Program, International Students Program and Study Abroad
- Notify DE international if they intend to change schools so an ATE can be issued for the new school.
School contributions
In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
