All Stage 3 students were given a booklet on cyber safety and popular applications (apps) that are used by students. This information was provided to Metella Road Public School through the NSW Police Force, Blacktown Local Area Command.
In Stage 3, many students are using social media and apps that they should not be accessing due to the age recommendations.
The information highlights potential problems, age classifications, privacy settings and includes information about cyberbullying. Further information can be found at www.thinkuknow.org.au. To ensure that your child is using technology responsibly and has enjoyable online experiences, it is important that you read and discuss the information provided.
