Metella Road Out Of School Hours Child Care Inc
Metella Road Out of School Hour's Child Care operates within the grounds of Metella Road Public School. The centre was opened in March 1988 catering for a small number of children in the afternoons. Soon after Before school care was included and then in October 2004 Vacation Care commenced.
Metella Road Out Of School Hours Child Care Inc. is a community based centre that recognise the importance of shared management and parental involvement.
The centre is open between the hours of 6.30am to 8.30am and 3pm to 6pm during the school term.
Vacation Care is offered between 7am to 6pm each day during the school holidays and pupil free days.
The centre is CLOSED on public holidays.
Our program is based on the "My Time Our Place" framework for school age care.
We provide a flexible program which includes activities such as art and craft, sports, indoor games and ongoing projects. Out focus is on free choice play!!
Our staff support and provide opportunities for fun,freedom,choice,positive and child focusd experiences and challenges.

Our philosophy is based on the inherent value that each child as an individual should have the right to play in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Our service, it's management and Educators support each child's right to learn through play.
We aim to provide all children with the opportunity to engage in play with their peers by offering both programmed and free play experiences which are fun, meaningful and challenging, based on children's knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests.
Our emphasis is on a collaborative partnership with Educators, Management, Children, Families, School and the Wider Community.
Metella Road Out of School Hours Child Care encourages a process of input by children and parents towards the programs and experiences offered to children.
